It is the equivalent of British and German drill and American working (denim).

The prototype of the Beaujon was the work uniform for cooks adopted in 1873.

From 1882 onwards, they were issued to all soldiers as training and work clothing.

In order to withstand harsh environments, a sturdy unbleached linen fabric is used.
