Jarapa Rug
From Spain
The Murcia region, facing the Mediterranean Sea, is famous for its agricultural production (fresh and preserved foods).
In addition to marble and furniture, another specialty exported to this region is carpets, of which Jalapa carpets have been produced since ancient times.
Xalapa was born in the city of Lorca, located in southeastern Spain.
The materials used are recycled fibers, primarily cotton, meaning they are scraps generated during the textile production process, and are handmade.
The manufacturing method was brought over from the Arabs in the 12th century along with weaving machines, and has been passed down as a tradition with little change to this day.
Since Jalapa is made from recycled fibers, it will produce a small amount of lint.
Our company sympathizes with Jalapa's passion for ingredients, including these points, and so we sell their products.
For customers who are concerned about this, we recommend that you first vacuum the item thoroughly or hang it outside like a futon and then remove the stitches and wipe them down before using it again.
Please note that the motor brush of the vacuum cleaner can become tangled with fibers, so be sure to stop the vacuum cleaner before using it.
For daily care, you can wash it by hand (press wash), but please be careful of color transfer as some of the fibers may fade. (Do not wash in a washing machine.)
Also, please note that in rare cases, color transfer to clothing etc. may occur if the product comes into contact with water or moisture.
As this product is woven using natural materials, some shrinkage and uneven weaving may occur.
Since it is hand-woven, please enjoy the handmade atmosphere and flavor.
