Who is Ortega?
It is a traditional hand-woven pattern of the Ortega family, Spanish pioneers who immigrated to Chimayo village in New Mexico, USA in the early 1700s, and is also called the Chimayo pattern.

This rug mat has an Ortega pattern motif.
